Governance & Management
Transkei Primary School operates in accordance with the South African Schools Act (SASA). The school is governed by a democratically elected School Governing Body (SGB), which works in partnership with the School Management Team (SMT) to ensure the professional and strategic success of the institution. The Principal and the School Bursar are integral members of this leadership structure.
The School Governing Body (SGB) Composition:
- 6 Parents: Representing the parent body and ensuring community interests.
- 2 Educators: Representing the teaching staff.
- 1 Non-Teaching Staff Member: Representing administrative and support staff.
- Ex-officio Members: The Principal and the School Bursar.
To ensure specialized oversight and operational efficiency, the school maintains the following functionally constituted committees:
